My Corner

Are you an immigrant or refugee older adult age 55 or more and want to learn computer skills, meet people, and have fun?

You can learn how to use a computer, send e-mails, and use the Internet. You can use the computer to read the news in your own language, write to family and friends, and more. You can meet other immigrant seniors, have tea and a snack, and practice your English with them.

My Corner is:

  • A relaxed place to learn basic computer and internet skills at your own pace
  • A place to share information and stories with others like yourself
  • A place to ask for information or help that you need
  • A place to practice English
  • A place to share your skills and knowledge with others

What does the program include?
One-on-one computer training from volunteers in a friendly environment at your own pace. The program is in English, you can practice your English conversation with other immigrant seniors while learning how to use a computer. This is also a great opportunity to help others and share your knowledge of basic computer use, seniors issues, life in Canada, and English.

Who is eligible?
You can join the program if you are an immigrant or refugee older adult age 55 and above.
