“At MOSAIC, I learned everything about how to look for a job in Canada”

Settlement Services

MOSAIC offers a range of specialized services to help new immigrants and refugees meet their settlement needs in Canada. Some of our available services include settlement information from trained, multilingual settlement workers, social networking opportunities, legal advocacy specializing in immigration and poverty issues, access to micro-loans, specialized programs to support multi-barriered refugees, adovcacy for temporary foreign workers and workshops to help newcomers find suitable volunteer positions. All assistance provided is free of charge.

By providing improved access to PLEI, newcomers to Canada will be better able to identify and address their legal needs and have an increased awareness of core Canadian legal values. During this 2009, the focus of the project has been on Residential Tenancy Law and Employment Standards Law; in 2010 we will concentrate on Family Law.
