Redirecting Youth Through Empowerment

Redirecting Youth Through Empowerment (RYTE) is a youth program

The program provides support services to youth between the ages of 13-24 living in Vancouver. This program serves multicultural youth, specifically targeting newcomer and immigrant youth who are at risk for engaging in violence related activities.

RYTE offers:

Public Education and Outreach on topics such as:

  • Youth Dating Violence
  • Healthy vs. Unhealthy Relationships
  • Youth Gang Violence
  • Effects of Alchohol and Drug Use

RYTE Youth Monthly Activities

  • Volunteering at various community events
  • Participating at youth conferences
  • Recreational activities

One-to-one Support

  • Individualized support services to youth who are engaged in or at risk of engaging in criminal or violent behaviour
  • Creation of personal care plans in consultation with youth and other agencies that may be involved (MCFD, probation, school, police, community organizations, and/or family members)
  • Linking youth to the necessary resources
