Meet
the Staff
Jiri
Adler, Director, Language Services
 A
graduate of the
College of
Modern Languages
in Prague, Jiri worked as an interpreter and translator in the
Czech
Republic, Poland, Germany and the Soviet Union before moving to
Canada, where he obtained a Linguistics degree from
Simon
Fraser
University.
Jiri currently provides simultaneous interpreting services for
Public Works and Government Services Canada, and translates books,
plays, newspaper articles and other documents.
Jiri also works
with local academic institutions to develop training for
interpreters and translators, and advocates equal access to language
services for all.
Chava
Glouberman, Manager, Translation Services
 Besides
holding a degree in Economics with a major in Business Management,
Chava has an extensive background in language-based work
environments, retail service and business planning. Over the last 15
years, she has worked with freelance contractors from a dizzying
array of cultural backgrounds.
An experienced
user of database, word-processing, graphics and formatting software,
Chava has a keen understanding of cross-platform needs and
capabilities, publishing, and communications.
Bessy
Ferris, Manager, Interpretation
Services
 In
addition to a B.Sc. (University of Toronto) and M.A. (Simon Fraser
University), Bessy has over 15 years experience in private- and
public-sector customer service. Her academic, work and volunteer
experiences have allowed her to collaborate with individuals holding
varying levels of English-language proficiency from a wide spectrum
of professional and cultural backgrounds.
Bessy handles
proposals, service-delivery structures, quality assurance, account
maintenance, recruitment and workshops for Interpretation Services.
Tanja
Krzman, Co-ordinator, Personal and Legal Translations
 Tanja
graduated from the University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
with a major in English Language and Literature. Her experiences
include translating and editing an English news bulletin, providing
language services at Canadian diplomatic missions abroad, and
co-ordinating daily operations in MOSAIC’s Translations Department
for over a decade.
Tanja
provides linguistic support in English and Serbo-Croatian and is a
certified member of the Society of Translators and Interpreters of
B.C.
